Marketing Committee. It’s not surprising that this is the most popular committee! Weigh in on graphic design, content development, distribution, circulation, promotions and more. Agri-Tourism Committee. Developing our Agri-tourism product in the Valley is an important way to achieve the mission of the SLVTA. The Valley has incredible agricultural assets, but we don’t have a lot that is visitor-ready. Work with the Agricultural Industry in the Valley to incubate and support the development of this important tourism asset. Fundraising Committee. If you have any fundraising experience through events or grant writing, your skills are really welcome on this group. More funding means more marketing, to the benefit of us all. Membership Committee. Help plan membership meetings and gatherings and develop more ways for Members to benefit from the Association. This is a fun Committee to work on if you like to plan parties and events and like to care for your fellow Members. Annual Conference Committee. The San Luis Valley’s annual Tourism Conference is held each fall. It’s attended by over 200 valley business people, with great speakers, breakout workshops, a tradeshow, and lots of opportunities for you to promote your business. Help plan this event, with this year’s theme being “Agri-Tourism”, it’s an especially exciting Committee to work with. Governance Committee. Bylaws, Policies and Procedures, etc., this Committee keeps the organization’s functioning professional, efficient, reputable. If you have experience for this kind of detail, you’ll find working with others like you to be interesting, rewarding and challenging. |
